New Ark is a multi-generational, historically Black church located in the Old South Baton Rouge community of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The church’s role within the community has evolved throughout its 113 year existence, and our current mission is clear – to transform lives and the community in purposeful ways for God’s glory!

We believe that everyone should strive to do what is pleasing in the sight of God! All that we do as a church pushes us toward our vision of being a church that is intentional about welcoming & evangelizing the unsaved, equipping & strengthening the saved, and being active in outreach, all motivated by a sincere focus on God’s purpose for His people!

We value purpose! There is a reason why God created each and every one of us, and there is a motive to everything that we do. We seek to worship, witness, give, and live with purpose!
